I was traveling from PA to GA on I-81. Temperature was going to be below freezing for the night. I wanted to have a place to camp for the night. This campground is just off I-81. This campground is just off I-81. I called when I was 30-45 minutes away to see if they had a site available. I was told that yes they did and the office would be open when I got there. I was welcomed warmly when I arrived. I was given a site near the bathhouse. I did check out the bathhouse and the facilities looked clean and it was warm inside. I would come back again on my travels. The only drawback, it is located right next to the interstate and I could hear the traffic noise. The entry to the park is uphill. The road is paved and was clear of snow. If it had been snowing, I might have felt a little uncomfortable going up the incline. (Due to my experience level) Great place and halfway point for my trip.

The people are nice and friendly. The campground is right near the interstate so it's a little noisy. They have a lot of camper space's with water electric and they have wifi for the campers. They also have a fire pit and picnic table at every campsite. They also have a picnic area and a store on site. All around it's a nice place just the interstate traffic is noisy.

We love the big field where our dogs could run. The septic tube was uphill and we were unable to drain our tanks. Many of the sites had the drainage tube above the parking pad. They told us that that was the only option for tank draining.

We visited with friends for a weekend. We were excited for a campground experience but we were in for a suprise. This place is just a trailer park, where all the dregs of society come to live. Definitely recommend you look elsewhere.

We stayed a week. Check in was smooth. Big rig friendly. Friendly staff. Weekend activities. Each site has a table and fire ring. Wood sold onsite. Camp store was nice and what you would expect. Friday and Saturday they had a snack shack open with homemade pizzas, they were good. 🍕. Kevin loved the white chocolate chip cookies too. Large pond with walking trail. 2 docks to fish off of. Kayak launch, boats for rent. 2 awesome beaches. Water was nice and clean and the sand was nice and looks like it has fools gold in it. Putt putt course. Huge jumping pad, multiple playgrounds, multiple corn hole boards in 2 places, horse shoes, multiple bath houses (and clean), laundry (2.00 each, but dryers are huge so I got 3 loads in dryer) pool, shuffleboard, huge game room, basketball, hiking trails easy for kids too, dog park with 2 sides for small and large dogs, pet waste stations, weekend activities like bingo and trivia with prizes, wagon rides and more. This place was a great place to unwind. Close to the battlefields to take day trips. Would definitely recommend.

We had a couple of days of nice and sunny weather with heavy rain the last day. I think we had the best site in the campground. It was a nice pull through that overlooked the lake. It was level and easy to get to. It was a quiet week as we were not there on a weekend. They have a jumping pad and playground for the kids and a really nice mini golf course. The pool was open, but it was too chilly for the pool. The pool is small, so it may be busy on weekends or holidays. The owners and everyone working there were the nicest and friendliest people. They were working hard preparing for an upcoming busy Memorial Day. The lake has a couple of sandy beach areas and you can get in the lake and kayak as well. There is a trail that goes around the park. This is a great family campground. Our grandchildren would enjoy this. The amenities are close enough together the kids would have an easy time enjoying all of it. We have a large 5th wheel and the roads were a little narrow the last few minutes of getting to the campground. We took a different route out on the advice of other campers and it was better. For a relaxing, clean, family campground, you won't be disappointed with Small Country.

Three groups of us picked this campground to meet at due to its location to lots of wineries, breweries, and distiliieries. We arrived around 4:30pm (check in was available at 2pm) and check in was very fast and easy. Staff at office was very friendly and helpful. We made our way to our pull through site, Gold 6, and found it very unlevel. It took us quite some time adjusting the trailer forward and back, side to side, just to find the least unlevel spot on the site that would enable us to set up. Good thing I had lots of extra blocks to assist, but it definitely added some time in the setup process (be sure you have what you need for these situations). Once we finally got level and setup we loved our spot, with lots of shade and plenty of room. The campground and facilities were clean. If you need to use the bathhouse after dark you will definitely need a flashlight, there are no lights whatsoever around the campground, not even on the bathhouse, and it is pitch dark....so make sure you know where it is ahead of time. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and would likely stay here again, but a little work on leveling the sites better would go a long way.
