Ok so we just went to the Doswell light shows last night and I wanted to share our experience. I highly recommend it! My 1 and 2 year old loved it! We went on a Wednesday night and we got there right when it opened (opens at 5:30 we were there at 5:36). There was absolutely no line which surprised and was awesome. I definitely recommend taking your time! At the end we went to the Santa workshop and there was so much for them to do! There were bounce houses, train rides, mechanical rides, pictures with Santa and more. The kids ran through everything and loved it! I highly recommend. Bring cash for the mechanical rides and definitely check out all the little booths with local businesses.

That was a cute Christmas display the lights for niece but they could have had more Christmas showings of like Santa the sleigh I went to Newport News Park and I feel the display that they had there was a little bit better... Then we went to Santa's workshop and Santa wasn't even there that was kind of a big disappointment 😞

The holiday light show was so much fun—the kids absolutely loved it! The lights were beautiful and totally worth the visit. However, parents should know that while Santa’s Village is included, everything inside comes with an additional cost. If you’re a parent who doesn’t plan to spend extra—or want to avoid disappointed kiddos—I'd recommend skipping Santa’s Village. 😊 Overall, the light show itself was great, just be prepared for the upsells!

We attended the Revenge Roughstock Rodeo Company where they brought the action back with Bulls, Barrels, and Broncs! Really great time, food vendors on site (absolutely delicious and priced well, even the kiddos enjoyed. Seating is great from every vantage point, bring some blankets, towels, stadium cushions, etc if you need some support. Extremely well lit, parking easy very easy both upon entry... Caroline Co deputies do a great job maintaining the security of the event. Beer tent, vendors with all your country western/rodeo merch needs. Mechanical bull is a hit among children and adults. Will definitely be back again and again!
