Nice back in FHU sites with wide concrete pad, picnic table, charcoal grill and fire ring. Office is somewhat hard to find. The office calls you on your scheduled arrival day and gives you your site #. I would suggest parking your RV 1st. The campground is located at the end of B st with very little signage. Entire base is cashless. Exchange and commissary located at Ft Eustis about 15 min away.

M family and I stayed at Kings Creek during the holidays. The spaces were sized well, we had room for our tow vehicle and the spacing between spots was generous. We didn’t use any of the facilities such as the bathrooms or laundry so I can’t really comment on those but all the hookups worked as advertised. The internet access wasn’t great but that’s not unusual for most camp grounds that we’ve use... M family and I stayed at Kings Creek during the holidays. Nice, clean, and quiet campground. The concrete pads are a nice feature and they have good clear cable too if you are one of those that can't go without their TV.

We stayed over Easter break (Thu-Mon). Although it's not the resort campgrounds out there nowadays, this place is perfect for real camping... besides the glamping part. Although it's not the resort campgrounds out there nowadays, this place is perfect for real camping... besides the glamping part. We brought our 38' travel trailer & every single spot had a nice size cement pad to park on which was mostly level. There was even enough room on there to park our 12 passenger van as well. Addtionally, we didn't even have to pull out our astro-turf to avoid mud at our trailer entrance (cuz it rained for 2 of the days). Oh & no issues with power & very strong water pressure. But very little to no internet coverage. This is a nice & quiet camground on a military installation that had a fantastic firepit at each spot w/ a grill toward the one side of it. If a bathroom was needed, it is located between the RV, cabins, & tent spots (but more closer to the latter two) in the back. Big dumpster was located close to the bathroom & two more toward the entrance/exit. They had a dumpsite at the front as well. Additionally, for "entertainment" there was some sort of blinky light game, cornhole, & a really really small playground (for probably 3 & younger). Oh yeah, there were 2 hiking trail entrances nearby & we saw a lake within walking distance the morning we left. To top it of, the Shoppette wasn't too far either. Granted it may be a little too far to walk to & it closes way earlier than we would expect, but it has most things you may need in a pinch. Only reason why we docked 1 star was because of the very limited to absolutely no internet connection, limited dog waste baskets (only 2), firepit was quite full of charred wood/charcoal (needs shoveled out), playground was too small, and grass was a bit too overgrown/unkempt even if our kiddos did wanted to play in the common area (or anywhere else). Maybe a better play area that would keep the kiddos entertained for a bit would make it an awesome family campsite (FYI: gaga pits have become very popular at many campground). Oh, and maybe a nice size open dog area (fenced in) so they can run "free" would make it perfect too. But hey, beggers can't be choosers. Even with those little nuances, this was a fantastic place for our family; especially since it was quiet and within 10-15 min from Busch Gardens & Colonial Williamsburg (why we went there in the 1st place)... And, of course being a military famcamp, the price seems to be what campgrounds should be. We'd definitely recommend this military campground to anyone who has access, & go back to if we were to visit the area again.

Great place to stay. Staff is friendly and personable. Large spots and quiet. Most sites are level and a well equipped bathhouse. Plenty to do close. Bush Gardens is right down the street.
