Wonderful location! Plenty of room. Easy to navigate. Lots of things to do. Close to tons of shopping, dining and experiences in Va Beach. Stayed in the “personalized dog fences” section and it was probably the BEST thing they could offer us! We have 4 small dogs and they LOVED being off leash in the small pen. Each pen comes with its own shelter, rocking bench, and dinner table with lounge chair... Wonderful location! Plenty of room. Easy to navigate. Lots of things to do. The firepit is just on the other side of the fence (where we were). It rained unfortunately but that never stopped the staff from being visible. They did such a great job and were so attentive. We can’t wait to come back. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

We spent the night at the Virginia Beach KOA in one of their Deluxe Cabins, and it was such a great experience! The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious for my wife, baby, and me. Every staff member we met was friendly and accommodating, and you can really tell they care about making guests feel at home. There’s so much to do right on the campground, and even more nearby, you... We spent the night at the Virginia Beach KOA in one of their Deluxe Cabins, and it was such a great experience! No wi-fi two days but ok after that. LOTS of long term campers throughout the campground were an unexpected sight. Great December prices for space but ridiculous high prices for wood and ice. Will come back in Spring to revisit, hope long term campers won't be as prevalent (but understand the need to make a profit in the off-season). All in all, a great trip - can't wait to see the place in full... No wi-fi two days but ok after that. LOTS of long term campers throughout the campground were an unexpected sight. We made the reservations for our family members and ourselves to stay over Thanksgiving weekend, some in a cabin, some in an RV. We met there from all over the country. We met there from all over the country. It was surprising and disappointing that there is no indoor place for people to gather at this campground in this part of the country that is advertised for winter stays. There’s a laundry room and a store, that’s it. I called ahead and asked about getting an Amazon delivery while I was there and they said no problem. They neglected to tell me that they have an arrangement with Amazon not to leave any packages with ANYONE when the store/office is closed , and the store/office was closed for half of Wednesday and all of Thursday, so the Amazon guy didn’t want to give me my package. The tv in the cabin was broken upon checkin because it’s mounted right where the freezer door hits it when the freezer is opened. The checkin gate was unattended our entire stay, and the cabin keys were just left out for anyone to take. I can understand that for after hours arrivals, but this was our entire 5 day stay the booth was unattended. There was an outdoor propane fire pit with lovely seats we would have loved to gather around , but no switch to turn it on and it was off the entire stay. No way to ask for supplies to borrow to use the ping pong table outdoors. Everything else was fine and normal for a KOA Holiday.

The cabins had roaches in them. My nephew got Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever from the campground and had to spend 2 days in the hospital. If you aren’t familiar it can be fatal and is picked up from ticks. It was a huge letdown to pay what we paid. Will never come back again that’s for sure. The only redeeming part was the staff was actually pretty nice.
