Loved it there. We stayed at RV site 30. Water and Power only, but there is a dump station. It is such a beautiful, well-kept state park. The bathrooms and showers were top notch. It's a little tight to back in some campsites with your vehicle and RV due to trees on either side. Site 26 had the best view of the lake across the street. Extremely peaceful and a great place to unwind and relax... Loved it there. We stayed at RV site 30. Water and Power only, but there is a dump station. It is such a beautiful, well-kept state park. This is probably a great park during the Summer, but the trail around the lake seemed a little sloppy at this point in February. It's the off-season, so I can't really blame them, but just based on my experience I have to ding a star.

Fantastic VA state park. One of our favorites. The Discovery Center was very cool and the park ranger there was super friendly and helpful. She even let us pet the hognose snake that lives there. We walked the Goodwin Lake Trail and saw a beaver, which was really cool. Played on the playground. Watched people fish. Visited the Office/Gift Shop. We we love to come back and stay in one of the cabins... Fantastic VA state park. One of our favorites. The Discovery Center was very cool and the park ranger there was super friendly and helpful. Twin Lakes State Park was a great site for hiking and viewing the water. Trails are very accessible from the Goodwin Lake side if you are on a day trip. Prince Edward Lake side is filled with cabins etc. if you are looking for over night. Trails were very clean and well marked. Enjoyed circling the lakes and being able to experience nature in the area. Didn't visit during lake season, but looks... Twin Lakes State Park was a great site for hiking and viewing the water. A bit off the beaten path but any trip made is totally worth the jaunt. The park rangers are friendly and considerate. During holiday weekends don’t consider the human element to be totally in harmony with mother nature; when my partner and I hiked the various trails we’ve never seemed to escape the inebriated karaoke penetrating through the tree-line. Mic’, drop! 🌲 🎤
