Perfect little campground for bikers. No water but there's a toilet. There are 6 tent pads as well as extra gravel for more people. There are 3 picnic tables

Would give 4.5 stars if I could. For better or worse, the campground is right on the John Wayne trail, but beware in the morning that means traffic will be passing right by your tent - in our case a logging truck making repeat trips. We stayed on a weekday night in late September and were the only ones there. Bring cash for fee ($12/night/spot as of 2020).

How do park rangers manage fee collection with know ranger station in site. I wonder if they have hidden trail cameras to make sure campers pay the fee and not skip out without paying.
