06/30/2023: Spent the holiday weekend at Fish Lake Campground. Two of us stayed for 4 nights and didn't have any neighbors. Site is located about 11 miles past Salmon La Sac Campground on Forest Road 4330. All gravel and you will need to cross some water. There were mosquitos during our stay, however, not a crazy amount. These are walk in sites so you will need to haul your stuff to your sit... 06/30/2023: Spent the holiday weekend at Fish Lake Campground. Two of us stayed for 4 nights and didn't have any neighbors. Just came back from this area late June 2020. Absolutely beautiful. The flowers, trees, river / lake and mountains with snow on them were incredible. Could see amazing mountain peaks in the distance to the north. The road is a back country old bumpy forest service road. It’s not a maintained highway. If you are coming this far you are looking for a remote spot to enjoy the woods. Enjo... Just came back from this area late June 2020. Absolutely beautiful. Great escape! No cell service at all. Should use 4wd/AWD vehicle once on forest service road. While you can keep cars at your site, you are still roughing it. Bathrooms are a drive away. You can float and fish in lake/river. There is also a cliff jumping spot that is very cool. We did a father/son trip and created great memories. Lastly, stars, holy cow, mind blowing STARS. Nice walk in campground. Don't expect to park by your camp spot. There's a small creek up the hill for water, but you're a good walk away from the Cle Elem river. There are campfire rings in most sites, and there's a pit toilet.
