We spent Valentine's Weekend in space 11. We were greeted and taken to our spot by the owner which was very helpful. Our spot was so clean and large that we had plenty of room for all our camping gear. The water pressure was perfect and we had no issues with our electricity. The water pressure was perfect and we had no issues with our electricity. The hiking trails were beautiful and we were able to use the map they provided on where to go. The campground is extremely peaceful and quiet ! There is a road going by the campground but from our location you could barely hear the noise. The other campers were spread out also so you have space between you and them which was nice! The store had items to purchase if needed and located by the office where you check in. We highly recommend looking at your gps maps and going highway 50 and not going up 80 as the road was very windy hauling our 30 ft trailer. This campground is pet friendly and your fur baby will have a great time here also. We did notice a playground which was located near the bathrooms. The owners have done a fabulous job making this Rv campground a place to come and relax. We definitely will be visiting this place again. What can I say about Fox Sparrow, Janna, Troy, their adult sons, and daughter-in-law, they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Hands down our new go-to camping spot! The sites are huge, the grounds are spotless, and you can tell this place is run by people who are genuinely in it with their whole hearts. Janna and Troy have that rare, natural hospitality that you just can't fake. We spent my birthday weekend there, and as it turned out, it was also Troy's birthday AND my buddy John's birthday. Troy and Janna went completely out of their way to put happy birthday on the front sign and even got me balloons to wear around. Hands down one of the most memorable birthdays I've had. Troy's band played live music Saturday night, which was fantastic, and their son was selling homemade pizzas that were genuinely delicious, the bar has such a fun, inviting hang out vibes to it. The guys had a blast with horseshoes and pool, the hiking was great, and the kids had so much fun looking for gold and enjoying the park. Even the locals were friendly and fun to be around. One thing I really loved, I never once stressed about the kids riding their bikes, scooters, or electric dirt bike around, or about the dogs. It just felt safe, relaxed, and easy. I left with a huge smile on my face and the feeling that we'd made real, genuine friends. We cannot wait to go back and watch everything they have planned for Fox Sparrow unfold. This place is something special.

The campground is huge, clean, and has obviously had lots of hard work, sweat, and TLC put into it in the last year. Fox Sparrow RV Resort and Campground is well outside of town, in between tiny historical gold mining Georgetown and m... I was just at this campground yesterday and am amazed at what the new owners have done with this property. We are planning a big family campout there in a few weeks. The campground is huge, clean, and has obviously had lots of hard work, sweat, and TLC put into it in the last year. Fox Sparrow RV Resort and Campground is well outside of town, in between tiny historical gold mining Georgetown and massive wilderness that is packed with multiple lakes, streams, fishing, hiking/jeep/horseback/bicycle trails and so much nature. With several forks of the American River not far away. The owners are a nice close knit family of 4, working together, to make the campground a great place to be. Super nice people that make me feel welcome, as they do for everyone that I see walk in, when I am there. They are constantly adding more things to make it a better campground. They have full hookups (even for big set ups) and partial hookups, and even tent sites. On the grounds they have nice bathrooms with showers, a modest general store, laundromat, picnic tables, and a very cool pub complete with a nice Pool Table and local beers on tap. They built a big stage and will be hosting live music on Saturdays during the summer in their big courtyard. There is cornhole and a few other games available you can play. Last night they were in the big courtyard barbecuing burgers for anyone that wanted one. They even had a food truck out front the last weekend I was there. All of this in the middle of a beautiful shaded forest. I plan to camp there again and again, and will definitely be attending some of their Saturday concerts this summer.

The campground is quiet and peaceful.. Each day we were there we were pleasantly greeted when they saw us and were never seem too busy to answer my questions..
