The group camp site it perfect! We all had such a good time out there. There are a lot of flat spots to pitch a tent. 2 nice places for fires as well as a shelter and kitchen area. Everything was well maintained, including the pit toilets

The park as a whole is a 5, and the group area gets a 5 for its ability to accommodate a LOT of people, the friendly folks who work at the park, and its easy access. Its only down side is that its 2 large meadows without individual campsites or many trees within the area. However, for a large group who is more interested in socializing at camp, then heading out hiking, its great.

This is a real wilderness park. It's a gorgeous tiny valley, close to trails and a short drive to river access. There's an open bunk house if you just want to throw a sleeping bag on a platform. There's water and electricity and it might serve your camp well to bring a hose and extension cord. We heard owls and saw glowing eyes in the dark, so keep your pets close.
