It’s the perfect outdoors experience in the deep woods, with a beautiful lake, lots of water falls, and mountain ranges. Their were a lot of horseflies and millions of frogs all over the lake, but I highly recommend!

It's a beautiful lake with fairly easy access to get to it. The only downside is how easy it is to get to it, which brings along the disrespectful crowds who want an easy outing. They bring their trash and leave it here around the campgrounds. If this lake wasn't so close to the roadway, it would be a true gem, but instead it is a used and neglected by those who "enjoy" it l.

Beautiful view across the lake. 9/7/2023 I spent the night alone here. At 2AM I heard the distant sounds of snapping branches, and then the sound of something swatting my bear canister, which I had tied to a tree trunk about 75 feet from my tent. In the morning the canister was exactly where I left it. I noticed that some campers had left a good deal of garbage around one of the fire pits which ha... There may be a curious bear in the area.

Rigorous hike up the trail to the lake but well worth it. Hike to the west side of the lake on a clear day and Mt Rainier towers above the trees. One campsite with a fire ring. That site does get a little swamped when it rains a little. Another site adjacent to the river on the east side is higher up but without an approve fire ring.
