Great camp for horses at 4200' in the Gifford pinchot national Forest. Great variety of trails for all riders and some PCT riding. I always feel special when I'm on that trail, like an explorer and this trip was no exception. Camp ground nice with horse water, trash cans, picnic tables, large site for my big trailer and easy to follow instructions on camping. National Northwest Forest pass require... We camped mid August. Camp was reached via Road 21, which was mainly paved. With a few sections of gravel with potholes, but manageable. The camp is in 2 sections. We camped in sites 1-8, which had easy pull through sites, actually more like park beside. All sites had high line posts. Fire pit. A central manure bin. Water trough was continuously running, and all our stock immediately drank. No... We camped mid August. Camp was reached via Road 21, which was mainly paved. Forest service staff came through frequently, and were clearing dead trees. Miles of riding. Trails were soft dust with rocks and shale. Recommend plenty of insect repellent. We took plenty of water, and dampened bandanas so avoid breathing the dust. Scenery is stunning - Mt Adam's and Mt Rainier, along with lakes, creeks and waterfalls.

I could only give it a 3 star cuz I've never been here, I was only Google Map searching for camping spots when I came across this. Wish there was more than 3 pics. It doesn't have any info on the place. Since it has my last name, maybe I should go claim it as my own... lol. I'll have to try to get down there this summer.
