About Keller Ferry Campground (Concessionaire-operated)

Federal campground in Washington.

Nestled along the scenic banks of Lake Roosevelt in northeastern Washington, Keller Ferry Campground offers RV travelers a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Columbia River region. This public campground provides an ideal base for exploring one of Washington's most underrated natural treasures, where vast desert landscapes meet sparkling water and outdoor recreation opportunities abound.

The campground's location places you within easy reach of some truly special experiences. Lake Roosevelt itself is a 151-mile-long reservoir created by the Grand Coulee Dam, and it's one of the region's premier destinations for boating, fishing, and water sports. Whether you're an avid angler hoping to catch walleye, bass, or northern pike, or simply looking to spend lazy afternoons on the water, the lake provides endless possibilities. The surrounding landscape features high desert terrain with distinctive rock formations and wide-open vistas that showcase the raw beauty of eastern Washington.

Beyond water activities, the area offers compelling reasons to explore further. The Grand Coulee Dam itself stands as an engineering marvel and historic landmark worth visiting, located not far from the campground. Nearby towns provide essential services and local dining options to supplement your camping meals. The region is also gateway territory for those interested in Native American history, as this area holds significant cultural heritage connected to the Colville Indian Reservation and local tribes.

The campground serves as a perfect launching point for RV travelers seeking a quieter camping experience away from crowded tourist destinations. Early morning walks along the shoreline, sunset views over the water, and star-filled nights away from urban light pollution create memorable camping moments. The mix of water access and desert landscape appeals to diverse interests—whether you're into fishing, boating, hiking, photography, or simply disconnecting from daily routines.

This location particularly suits travelers who appreciate authentic outdoor experiences and don't require extensive on-site amenities. It's an excellent choice for families seeking water recreation, retirees looking for peaceful exploration, and outdoor enthusiasts wanting to discover lesser-known Washington gems. The natural beauty and recreational opportunities make it a compelling destination for those traveling through the Pacific Northwest.

We’ve been camping here for 7 years. Dry camping with water refilling tap in the middle of the grass area around the camper/trailer sites. Plenty of tent sites near the water. There is flush toilets between the trailer and tent sites. You MUST reserve a site if you plan to go on the weekends. Great boat launch area. With a HUGE parking lot. This is currently a free launch area. Camping has a fee.... We’ve been camping here for 7 years. Dry camping with water refilling tap in the middle of the grass area around the camper/trailer sites.
