Radiant Heart Pet Cremation & Memorials rented Lutherwood for our annual Floating Lantern Pet Memorial in 2025, and we could not have had a better experience. The staff is amazing. The property is drop-dead gorgeous and very private. We're hoping that the folks at Lutherwood wil allow us to hold Floating Lantern there every year from now on.

Families and individuals can RV & tent camp. No sewer hook-ups. No dump site. Water & electric provided. Public bathrooms & a shower stall are clean & spacious. (Note: It takes half-an-hour driving to the dump site at nearby Larabee State Park. Bellingham groceries, laundry, & general supplies are 20 min. away.)

My daughter has gone to Lutherwood for multiple weeks each summer (this year was her 8th summer) and will tell anyone that it is her favorite place on earth. The property itself is amazing, but the activities (ropes courses, tubing, canoeing, swimming, and so much more), games (9 square in the air especially), Bible encounter and worship times, campfire each night, and “cool” counselors make this camp outstanding. We’ve also been to family camp and have camped in the campground, all of which were great experiences too.

My daughter ended up leaving camp early because the counselor made the environment so uncomfortable. The counselor changed her pronouns daily and and daily wanted to have a conversation with the 12 year olds in her cabin about it. Multiple times the campers told the gender fluid counselor that they were not interested in talking about how they identified. It is wildly in appropriate to continue to push a subject when a child says NO. They talk about being an inclusive camp but are far from. Being inclusive means respecting EVERYONE and MAKING EVERYONE feel SAFE and welcome. My daughter explained that she had the best time during the band activities away from the counselor. The band instructors she had were amazing.

I was a counselor here year summers of 2014 & 2015 The camp does such a great job at everything they do. They make sure kids have a memorable experience & a deep encounter with God. “Behind the Scenes” as a counselor, everything was always in tip top shape. Everyone is diligent at making sure the camp stays clean and in order each week. This camp is beautiful, the staff is faith filled and kind...
