All campsites are in the beautiful forest, shaded. No bugs at all. Even in the hottest days, there is a cool breeze. Nice beaches are nearby. Downsides: there is the only one place to wash dishes, but it is only for ONE group site. Very inconvenient and unfair. Otherwise, it is good place to stay.

This place was half of my childhood. My family, cousins, and family friends all used to come here on an annual father-kid camping trip and we would bike there from here in North Van and we would have the best time of our lives. We would always book the big lot with the nice hut and it had so much space. There were always about 5 or 6 families there and we all fitted super well. It was a really qui... It was a really quick walk to the beach and the beach was usually empty which was nice.

A great spot for families, solo campers or small group of friends. We stayed at one of the walk-in sites. There are wheel barrels near the ranger station you can take to bring your stuff to your site. It is not too far from the parking lot. All the sites have a raised tent pad, a fire pit, a picnic table and a VERY useful metal box to store your food and avoid the occasional sneaky raccoon that will want to steal your provisions. The bathrooms are spacious and are maintained very clean. Big plus! No showers, but really, it is camping afterall! There are drinking water taps available. This is a great spot. Even when it is full, it does not feel crowded. *Things to do There are a couple of short hikes that lead you to quiet and beautiful shell beaches that many times you find empty and can enjoy by yourself. The sunsets are amazing! Grab a towel, snacks and head to the main beach to enjoy it. Vegetation is beautiful, with arbutus tress, pines and seals, eagles, and wildlife around. We also saw kayakers and there is a day use area.

Camping in over flow campground on first-come-first-served basis. We have a child who has a life-threatening allergy to insect stings. Park Operator came and evicted a wasp infestation immediately! Awesome. Love the large wheelbarrows, which are shared around, to cart camping supplies from vehicles to campsites. The Paris clean and well cared for. No water, but garbage collection for a fee and can/bottle recycling. Super quiet at this time of year, but the trails are well maintained. We had the dock all to ourselves.
