The san jaun river campsite was an ok place to camp. 18 bucks a night gave you a campsite by the river, campfire ring, cement picnic table and outhouses and the lady that collects the money daily will offer you bundles of wood for 10 bucks. Small, quiet, campground. Beautiful setting. Active logging road, so weekdays aren't quiet Can get a bit dusty and loud from the trucks..

A beautiful site, a bit off the beaten path. Adjacent to river containing sensitive salmon habitat.

One of the nicest free campsites (in winter) I had, lonely in the woods at the waterfront with firepits and a table, lovely and quiet when you're alone on the campsite

Awesome campsite right on a shallow river. 18$ per car per night is a little pricey but for just a night or two with a few people is a easy enough price to manage. The lots though are absolutely massive and if you get ones on the river side you have a direct access to the water. There is definitely no service or wifi and the nearest is in Mesache lake so plan ahead for sure.
