Lovely campground with large, fairly flat sites. Many have river access. We went mid week just after Memorial Day and it was almost empty. However, my husband found two ticks on him while we were there so make sure to check for them each day.

We stayed in campsite 10 and we loved the amount of space we had especially for our dog and the kids to play. Definitely recommend 👌 Also on recreation.gov it said only one vehicle per site but at the campground it says two vehicles can stay just FYI see picture below.

Our family has been camping here for 20 years. Still love the campsites and the river access, but the campground is in need of routine cleaning and maintenance! We arrived to our campsites well after check-in and it was apparent it had not been cleaned. Trash, cigarette butts filled fire pit, food remnants. This did not help the wasp/yellow jacket infestation. They were really bad this year…actua... Our family has been camping here for 20 years. We arrived to our campsites well after check-in and it was apparent it had not been cleaned. Trash, cigarette butts filled fire pit, food remnants. This did not help the wasp/yellow jacket infestation. They were really bad this year…actually the worst ever! We literally had to eat our meals in our tents or vehicles. We camped for 4 days and there was never anyone cleaning the campground, campsites as people left, or the vault toilets…which were ABSOLUTELY UNBEARABLE!

Tucked along the Naches River, the Sawmill Flat Campground has some of the best camping sites in the state. A number of them front the river and offer low bank access so you can pull up a chair and eat your breakfast or dangle your feet in the river. They’re well spaced and have ample room for a large tent. Improbably, we found not a single bug there on a mid-August visit.

Pleasant mornings with bird and river sounds. Water pump and trash options are there. - I booked spot 23, and it was very close to 20. It was small and not private, so we requested switching, and the camp host was really friendly and smart; they helped us out. Other campgrounds were really big and nice. You may hear a road sound from some of the roadside campsites, but at the same time, you will hear the River sound. - The River has cold water, and the flow is pretty fast, so perfect for rafting, fishing but not good for tubing or swimming activities. - Someone saw a bear during our stay, it seems elks come, but the bear would be an unusual visitor. It would be important to keep the food safely stored. - There is a burn ban going on. So right now, you can't do any campfires.
