Gorgeous hike and wonderful place to have lunch with Mt Rainier peaking out in the background. Not too hard, just a bit long and lots of uphill. If your new to hiking you can do this, just take your time. Both Crystal Lake and Sheep Lake are cold in early summer, but warm enough to easily swim in by end of August. You can still swim in spring, it's just freezing from the snow melt. Husband and did the long loop from Sheep Lake btw.
