We walked in and got a spot, definitely because it’s a work day. Rest room is very clean, windows have screens. About 5-10 min drive to the wonderland trailhead.

Rainier National Park 06/27- 07/06 White River Campground -Site B17 By a lovely stream where we pretended to be Beavers. Thanks to a Covid infection we ended up prolonging our stay long past our intended checkout date. Here’s what you might want to know. None of the bathrooms have lights. If you want soap and paper towels use the restroom by the climbers/day use pkg. lot, however the faucets need constant pressure to stay on. Bathrooms in loop C, D, and A (which also have a potable water & “dishwashing station”) have water running so you can wash your face till you turn it off…but keep in mind no soap or paper towels. Restrooms down by Ranger station about 15min from campground has lights, soap and paper towels and decent amount of water running time. Men’s restroom there has an outlet if you need anything charged- it’s also where you can get 5g+ cell service - there’s a picnic table. Loop D has several campsites by/above the White River albeit small. Most campsites are level and well shaded; problematic if you’re trying to solar charge. Go enjoy White River campground and don’t get sick.

No food options even in sunrise visitor center area. Very sad situation if you are hoping to explore Sunrise area. And this is the only part of the national park that is restricted with Timed entry till 5pm.
