Bay View Campground is a scenic and peaceful spot along Baker Lake, with beautiful views of Baker Lake and Mount Shuksan. The campsites are spacious, easily fitting two regular tents or one large tent, with generous parking space right next to each site. There’s also a convenient day-use area for short visits or picnics. One downside: firewood sold on-site is quite pricey at $10 per bundle, it’s more budget friendly to grab some in Concrete for around $4–6. Overall, a great base for nature lovers and hikers.

Absolutely bomber campground! Sites are decently large, pads can fit 3 2-man tents, and have large metal fire rings. Pit toilets are well maintained, too. I'm burying the lead, though, because Baker Lake itself is just absolutely dropdead gorgeous. There's a great beachy area at the campground which provides a great launch point for kayaks, SUPs, etc.

We camped at campsite 7 which seemed to be the only site with no shade from 10AM-4PM BUT, each site is super private, could barely tell we had neighbors. There were quite a bit of mosquitos in the afternoon, so bring bug spray and a citronella candle. The walk to the lake is not too bad, we paddleboarded. The landings are a bit hard to navigate with day users and swimmers near by, there's a drop in point midway up the trail that is pretty good. There was a motorized boat that basically blocked the entire main landing for most of the trip which was frustrating. The campsites were super clean, we saw a lot of chipmunks, and a bear further up on one of the roads nearby. In the future we'll be going to Panorama Point and some of the north campsites that are a bit closer to the lake and have better landings.

It's a bit of a long road to the site and about half an hour from the nearest store. If bringing a cooler be well stocked on ice or willing to make a somewhat long trip for more. And the day use area though somewhat small is very cute and we made good use of it on our trip. Doesn't have running water this year which is a bit of a challenge but might be amended later. The bathrooms don't have sinks either but the toilets are cleaned regularly and hand sanitizer worked well for us.

This particular campground (there several in the Mount Baker National Forest Park) is a bit newer, but this was our SECOND trip in just two weeks to camp & kayak .The first time was so fun that we packed up and did it again. The host was extremely helpful & the park is clean, no problems with rodent infestation, just cute little critters brought to you by Mother Nature. Take note though, you need...
