Spent 2 nights here. Gravel road is not too hard to drive. Any car would make it. Only drawback is the wind. Expect to hear howling wind all night. Sunrise was fantastic. Stars were amazing.

What a fun place to spend a couple of evenings. We snowshoed up the steep climb to the tower and we were really glad that the heater takes no time to warm up the little room. Amazing views in every direction. We’re expecting 8 more inches of snow tonight so getting down in the morning should be fun!

Booked renting the lookout through rec.gov. The lookout was VERY windy. The views from up there are pretty. The bathroom was very clean and so was the lookout. It was however pretty hot when we arrived but it was also 100F that day. We opened the windows and the extreme wind helped cool it down. Trying to hangout outside the lookout was nearly impossible due to the wind.
