Tapawingo is a magic place for girls. It's about far more than the sports and other activities. Tap is about camaraderie, collegiality, friendship, and a depth of experience that is difficult to describe. The experience of a summer at Tap lasts for life. My daughters spent many summers at Tap and now my granddaughters have the privilege too!

Tapawingo is more than just a summer camp—it’s a cherished home away from home where girls can find their voice, build confidence, and make friends for life. As a former camper and a parent of campers, I am lucky to be part of this special community. If you’re looking to give your kids a gift that will last a lifetime, this is it.

Tapawingo is the perfect traditional Maine summer camp for girls. Its true beauty lies in the spirit, sisterhood, and the confident young women it helps shape. As a second-generation Tap family, we cherish the memories and look forward to the next. There is no summer experience quite like Tapawingo for girls. To be in a glorious setting in Maine, away from electronics, social media, and other pressures of growing up is an incredible privilege. To be in a glorious setting in Maine, away from electronics, social media, and other pressures of growing up is an incredible privilege. You must sit at a meal at Tap to understand the spirit of singing camp songs and the exuberance of what the girls bring to everything they do. While camp is about waterfront activities, land sports, drama, arts and crafts, horseback riding, archery, etc., it's way more than all of that. Tap helps to instill a special something in each girl. As someone once said to me, "every girl has a place under the sun". The friendships developed at Camp Tapawingo are solid and the girls return with their daughers and granddaughters!
