About Burlington / Anacortes KOA

Campground in Washington.

Nestled in the picturesque Skagit Valley of Washington State, the Burlington / Anacortes KOA offers the perfect home base for exploring one of the Pacific Northwest's most captivating regions. Located at 6397 North Green Road in Burlington, this RV park sits at a crossroads of natural beauty, charming communities, and endless outdoor adventures that make Washington's northwest corner so special.

The Skagit Valley is renowned for its stunning agricultural landscape, seasonal beauty, and proximity to some of the region's most treasured destinations. Whether you're visiting during the famous spring tulip season when vibrant fields of color stretch across the valley floor, or enjoying the quieter months when the landscape settles into peaceful greens and grays, there's something magical about this corner of Washington. The area's mild maritime climate means relatively comfortable camping throughout much of the year, though spring and summer offer the most predictable weather for outdoor exploration.

From your RV at this conveniently located park, you're positioned perfectly for exploring the charming waterfront town of Anacortes, just a short drive away. This artistic community features excellent seafood restaurants, local galleries, and waterfront parks where you can watch boats come and go from the working harbor. The nearby San Juan Islands are accessible via ferry from Anacortes, offering opportunities for day trips to Orcas Island, San Juan Island, and Lopez Island, where you'll find hiking, kayaking, and authentic island culture.

Nature enthusiasts will appreciate proximity to numerous attractions including the scenic Deception Pass State Park, where dramatic bridges span between islands and offer breathtaking views of the Puget Sound. Birdwatchers find the Skagit Valley particularly rewarding, especially during migration seasons. The nearby Skagit Valley Wildlife Area provides excellent opportunities for spotting eagles, waterfowl, and other native species in their natural habitat.

The Burlington area itself serves as a convenient jumping off point for exploring the North Cascades, just an hour's drive away, making it ideal for those wanting mountain scenery combined with lowland relaxation. Whether you're seeking outdoor recreation, peaceful valley scenery, small-town charm, or easy access to the San Juan Islands, this RV park location offers something for every traveler drawn to the Pacific Northwest experience.

Made reservations 9 days prior to arrival date. My husband has to have unexpected surgery and they woul note refund my deposit as it is shorter than 7 days. We have been going there for years and I have never experienced rudeness from any other staff member. We stayed there 2-3 times a year for many years. We will NEVER step foot on their property again.

Talk about money gouging, especially when most of the amenities are closed anyways… This parks manager gives koas everywhere a bad name!

I recommend everyone go to the Bayview state park for better accomodations and actual customer service instead of surly attitude. Staying at over 20 KOA parks a year, I have never recorded a bad stay and rude sassyness until now.

This KOA is gated so when checking in make sure when you pull up dont pull to far forward or block road way. During our stay the camp ground was clean and quite probably only about a handful of trailers. Somethings I recommend for travelers, bring extra shade for yourself, as more than half the camp ground doesn’t have tree’s or covering. During our stay we didnt use any of the amenities- although... We went to a near by laundry mat about 15 min away, shopped at the super outlet mall.

Nice customer service. Clean campsite. Clean bathroom, good shower pressure. Kids activities: foam party and rubber duck hunt. Small gift for kids. Bouncing pad good size. Yummy, cheap dessert one evening. Indoor heated pool was nice. Pretty scenery. We will definitely come back.
