The office building was closed, but as we walked up we noticed that she was interacting in an official capacity with other campers, so we asked if she worked here and she responded ‘yeah, unfortunately’. After we’d paid our fee ($10 per person for tent camping) she gave us multiple possible combinations for the bathrooms, because she couldn’t remember what they actually were. We were just supposed to try them all until one of them worked. None of them worked on the laundry room, which was particularly frustrating. After giving us several possible combinations to the showers, she sternly told my husband not to make a pond of the bathroom. She went on to say that it seemed to be a gendered issue, and he was warned repeatedly to not make a mess of the bathroom. It was so offensive and uncomfortable. I would absolutely look elsewhere for your stay in this otherwise cute and welcoming community.

Packwood RV Park is very close to Raineer National Park. It has showers and flush toilets and on-site pay laundry. The bathrooms and showers were clean. I think most people are either living here full time in an rv, or visiting in an rv. It is not a scenic campground. You are basically in a parking lot, backed up to someone's house. We had a picnic table which we were able to set things on... Packwood RV Park is very close to Raineer National Park. It has showers and flush toilets and on-site pay laundry. You are basically in a parking lot, backed up to someone's house. We had a picnic table which we were able to set things on, but not able to sit on because it was broken. There was trash on the ground, and the outside grounds were kind of gross. We spoke with the person to check in but never saw any staff. For proximity to the park, it was excellent.

Close to the 123 entrance to Mt Rainier National Park. But the park is just a place to plug in and spend the night. Short walk to the towns dining choices.

I have visited 5+ years here for weeks at a time and really enjoy the laid back and comfortable campground. Full hookups. Small, quiet park. It is a bit bare-bones with no wifi and no playground. But, it is just a few minutes to Mount Rainier National Park and is one block from restaurants, etc. There is a library with free wifi 100 yards from the park. Showers/restrooms are plain but clean. Plenty of hot water. Summer rates are VERY reasonable.
