Be Wary During my and my girlfriend's camping trip in mid September Friday-Saturday, we got HARRASSED!! While driving to our tent site there were a couple of things that I noticed: A camper across from us was staring us down, and we were the only non-white people there. (only two of us). We got there around 5pm. While checking out our tent site, there was a “Lawn Watering Schedule” posted on a tree. It was scheduled for Monday-Friday at 1am, 2:30am, and 4am for our site. In the middle of the night, I heard the sprinkler and thought it was weird that it was on because it was Saturday . I eventually went back to sleep since we only had our camping chairs by the picnic table side. I was then awakened once more because the sprinkler started spraying on the tent area side. The water did get inside but luckily we were able to move it in time before it got drenched. I looked around and noticed the sprinkler was only on for our site and two nearby us. We ended up sleeping in the car for the rest of the night, since there wasn’t anyone that we could address this to at that time- around 3am.(which ruined the camping experience) The following morning, my girlfriend spoke to the office manager Cindy, to inform of what happened. She was not helpful and didn’t seem apologetic at all. She mentioned that it shouldn’t have been on and the only way was if someone had turned it on. Also said that it’s not scheduled for the weekend. Which begs the question, why was it only on our site/area and why was it pointing to the camping ground…

There are constant issues with the toilets. Yesterday someone defecated in the middle of the bathroom and smeared feces on the walls and floor. It was impossible to enter — even with the door closed, the smell reached outside. In the morning I asked for it to be cleaned, and the cleaner just sprayed water over the mess. It should have been cleaned properly, with disinfectant materials, no pressure water, and the toilet should have been closed for at least an hour. Instead, she “cleaned” it in 10 minutes. No wonder women end up with UTIs and worse after such a “lovely” vacation at your resort! During the entire week I stayed, no one cleaned the shower cabins — not once. ❗️A few years ago, the bathrooms were always clean and cleaned twice a day. Now no one watches over anything — guests do whatever they want, especially after 10 PM. So if you’re thinking about coming here — think twice

We have seen the roller coaster ride of mixed feelings of staying here. Usually when we come, we get a discount for booking a year in advance. We didn’t get that this year. Not only that we would only have to pay a deposit but “under new management” as they would say. We don’t offer discounts and you need to pay the full amount. The price of staying here keeps rising and I get that there is inflation but it is the most expensive campground we have stayed at. We saw more staff but i guess everyone was in training because often time the staff we spoke with would need to ask for assistance from someone else. From coming here for this current weekend under new management here is what I’ve gathered. Pros They did fix their pool heater Kids corner for activities Shop and cafe were nice Loved the ice cream They have lots of options for outdoor activities Electrical outlets at each site The big open field by the pool Pet friendly Cons Their bathrooms should be cleaned more often. There was never any toilet paper in the bathroom. There are only 5 toilets if they were working for the women. Basketball court light didn’t work after dark Broken volleyball net Only a movie night on Friday for the long weekend Adult hot tub wasn’t working Not enough lawn chairs at the pool The hot tub was down for Saturday morning but no sign for people not to use it. So people kept taking the cover off and going into it. Overall we do like coming here because there is something for the whole family. Do we get reminded of all the things that drive us crazy yes…

The staff was very helpful, especially because we accidentally booked the wrong location and they came down after hours to help us get everything sorted out. The facilities were very clean and well kept. 100% would recommend staying here!

First the good: great service, happy staff and knowledgeable about the area, the place has so much going on like swimming pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, playgrounds miniature golf basketball courts that’s combined with tennis courts and more. Now the bad: the place is great but the place needs work, it’s simply getting ran down. The golf course, the tennis And basketball court needs fixed roots from trees have big humps and the roads and a lot of the grass and the common areas need help they’re mostly dead. The staff did not enforce the rules of quiet time after 10 o’clock in anyway shape or form that I saw. Things usually did not calm down until after midnight But the biggest problem is they don’t clean the bathroom enough, or good enough. We was there for a weekend and I never felt it got cleaned. Garbage cans full place smells of pea Black slimy mold around the shower area on the floor. I’m sure that will grow overtime. I will say the place has a lot of potential and can be jest as nice as in the brochure but it’s going to take time and effort. Unfortunately, there’s also things out of their control. The lake is way too low I’m sure it has hurt the economy of Soup Lake The waterfall in the brochures is gone, The water fall would have been nice but the lake was a big disappointment, makes it hard to get to without going through sloppy mud or muck that stinks and you can’t launch a boat or anything else without dragging it through all that, if the power to be that is keeping it low can see their way of racing it back up. It would help the economy, the town, I’m sure that It would definitely help this park.
