About Yakima RV Park

Campground in Washington.

Yakima RV Park offers a convenient base for exploring the heart of Washington's agricultural region and the scenic landscapes that surround this vibrant central Washington community. Located in Yakima, a city known for its rich farming heritage and outdoor recreation opportunities, this RV park provides travelers with easy access to some of the Pacific Northwest's most interesting destinations.

The Yakima area is famous as the hop capital of the United States, and visitors will find themselves surrounded by the region's distinctive agricultural character. Beyond the farmland, the area offers surprising variety for outdoor enthusiasts. The nearby Yakima River provides excellent opportunities for fishing, rafting, and riverside recreation. Wine lovers will appreciate that Yakima Valley is home to over a hundred wineries, making it a premier wine touring destination. The region's sunny climate, with more days of sunshine than Seattle, creates an inviting atmosphere for outdoor activities throughout much of the year.

Yakima itself serves as a cultural hub with attractions worth exploring during your stay. The Yakima Valley Museum offers insights into local history and pioneer heritage, while downtown Yakima features galleries, shops, and local restaurants where you can experience authentic Pacific Northwest cuisine and hospitality. The city's downtown area has undergone revitalization, creating pleasant spaces for walking and dining.

For outdoor adventurers, the surrounding region provides access to hiking, with trails ranging from easy riverside walks to more challenging mountain excursions. The nearby Cascade Range offers spectacular scenery, particularly during spring wildflower season and fall color. Mountain lakes in the region provide additional recreation options including camping, fishing, and picnicking.

This location works well for travelers passing through central Washington, those attending local events and festivals, or visitors planning to explore Yakima Valley's wine country and agricultural heritage. The park's position makes it an accessible jumping-off point for exploring both the valleys and mountains of Washington State.

Park is a decent park. It’s fenced in the main drag outside of it has a lot of homeless people but it is gated. The worst part of staying here is I have been trying to get my deposit back for months and nothing. I call once a week and still haven’t received it. Another co worker that stayed there at the same time I was also had a really hard time getting his deposit back. Seems very unprofession... Park is a decent park. Don’t stay here if you want your deposit back. My husband and I have been trying for weeks to get our deposit back and we’ve been getting the run around for weeks. Every time we call, the “right” person isn’t in and we’re told to call back a different day and when we do we get nowhere with that or they don’t answer. We lived next to people who were methed out and would fight frequently. It’s also... Don’t stay here if you want your deposit back. We stopped here after a long travel day, had we not been very tired, we would have kept driving. Mostly long term tenants that do not take care of their units or surroundings. No access to take your dog for a walk outside the park ( gate was padlocked due to the homeless I assume ) a “dog walk” patch of weeds in front of the children’s playground was provided. This park puts the sketch in sketchy,... We stopped here after a long travel day, had we not been very tired, we would have kept driving. It's a great little park for the location. On first sight it is not in the best area, but once inside the park it is good. Staff (Maryann) is the best. She is very helpful and always friendly. We enjoyed our stay and we always go back when we are in town with our RV.

This place is terrible. No staff on weekends?! Arguably the busiest time? Locked out of the bathroom and showers. Phone says mailbox full so no leaving a message or getting through to anyone. We are leaving two days into a four day prepaid stay. Fat chance of getting a refund.
