About Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park Campground

Campground in Washington.

Nestled along the scenic shores of Lake Chelan in north-central Washington, Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park Campground offers RV travelers a remarkable gateway to one of the region's most beloved alpine lakes. This state park campground provides an ideal basecamp for anyone seeking to combine outdoor recreation with the natural beauty of the Cascade Mountain foothills. The location puts you in the heart of Lake Chelan country, where crystal-clear waters meet dramatic mountain backdrops, creating a landscape that captures the essence of Pacific Northwest wilderness.

The campground's setting makes it perfect for water enthusiasts of all kinds. Lake Chelan itself is a stunning 55-mile-long glacially-carved lake that offers excellent boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Whether you're interested in casting a line for rainbow trout and kokanee salmon, launching a boat for a day on the water, or simply wading along the shoreline, the lake provides endless aquatic adventures. The clear mountain waters are refreshing and inviting during the warmer months, making swimming a popular pastime for families and couples alike.

For those who prefer land-based activities, the surrounding area offers wonderful hiking and nature exploration. The region transitions beautifully between high desert and mountain environments, creating diverse ecosystems to discover. Nearby trails range from leisurely walks with lake views to more challenging hikes that reward explorers with panoramic vistas. Wildlife viewing is common in the area, with opportunities to spot deer, eagles, and other native species throughout the seasons.

The park's location in Chelan County places you near the charming towns and communities that dot the lake's shores. The town of Chelan itself offers dining, shopping, and services, while smaller communities along the lake maintain a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. This region has long been a destination for travelers seeking authentic mountain lake experiences without the overwhelming crowds of more famous national park areas.

Water sports, fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, and simply relaxing by the water define the typical day at this location. The campground serves as the perfect launching point for exploring one of Washington's most treasured natural areas, making it an excellent choice for RV travelers who want to experience the best of the Pacific Northwest's lake and mountain scenery.

Good camping spots beautiful scenery but water access is mainly for boats. No real access to the crystal clear water of the lake is disappointing. The “swim area” is a small triangle wading pool sharing the funky water from enclosed boat mooring. Would be nice if they opened up more water access for those who do not moor or launch a boat.

Amazing campsite. Right on the lake front with a swimming area for littles and a boat ramp. The Creek area has access to the lake for paddle boards or canoes. Small store allows you to buy things you forgot. Has toys, snacks, alcohol, regular drinks and more. Owner was very friendly. Showers and restrooms where clean and had hot water. Best sites for view are 1, 3, 12, and 13.

This park is definitely not RV friendly. We stayed in site 16 with our 18 foot travel trailer and it was a nightmare to get into. The roads are narrow and was lined with large boulders, giving you little to no room for backing up. Not to mention the RV hook ups are in the back of the site, a little weird. Theres very little privacy between the camp sites. The swimming area is small. I will say it'... This park is definitely not RV friendly. I will say it's not as crowded as Lake Chelan state park but that's all I can really say that was good about this park.

This has always been one of favorites spots for camping. They have a store and a designated area for swimming. You can make a reservation online to book it. The water is super clear.

The campground is far from the city of Chelan, about 30 minutes so I'd recommend getting supplies before coming out. There is a small general store but it has limited hours. We'd hoped for more lake access but there isn't much unless you have a boat. We were able to get in the water near the boat launch. If you want a swimming area, try Lake Chelan State Park. Nice bathrooms and showers. This campground has great WiFi.
