Plenty of picture opportunities and birdwatching spots too if you want to see the fall colors the observation tower is the best spot for that all in all a great park to visit especially if you're doing the waterfall loop . (This is a state park so there is a fee to get in $3 all the way to $50 )

I went September 12th and there was no mosquitos, the park was awesome! The look out tower was a waste of time, I couldn't see anything over the trees. There is a few stairs so it's not for people in poor physical shape. The stone stairs and walls are beautiful and the falls were small but unique and fun. It's very comparable to Amnicon but I liked Amnicon better since I could crawl on the rocks.

This is a beautiful park. We very much enjoyed hiking here. The forest was enchanting. The river and waterfalls were quite the sight. I think it would be nice if they maintained a couple trails to the waterfalls. There is a spot or two where you can get to the water. I very much recommend this park. It is quite popular given how remote it is, but it is well worth the trip.

Gorgeous waterfall and river scenery along well maintained hiking trails. Plenty of lookouts to take photos and rest along the way. The Doughboy trail was beautiful. Enjoyed Loon Lake views as well. State Park near Mellon WI, not far from gas and convenience stores. No dogs allowed on the doughboy trail.

Copper Falls State Park is beautiful! We enjoyed our time here doing a few hikes and seeing the beach. To be honest, the star of the show is Brownstone Falls and the Cascades; due to mining a hundred years ago, Copper Falls has collapsed over time and now is far less impressive than Brownstone and the Cascades. However, Copper Falls is still impressive. There are a lot of trails, but honestly the Doughboys Loop is the whole point of the park; most of the other trails are just walks through the woods. The observation tower is overgrown around so all you can see is tree tops but it’s still pretty. Red Granite Falls is unique because you can walk up to it and climb on it (the Cascades and Brownstone and Copper Falls are all, understandably, very fenced around and blocked off), but the trails to Red Granite is just a walk through the woods. Also? The gift shop is stellar. We really liked it even though it’s pretty small. They had great staff there too. Overall, go to Copper Falls state park for a good walk through some woods, and a few very impressive waterfalls!
