Beautiful nature park, but I’m only giving it four instead of five stars for one reason. The large crowds at the Falls ruins the vibe and people crawling all over the falls, ruins the nature around the it. I think they should find a way to eliminate people from climbing and walking across the falls and river.

Beautiful state park! This is one of our favorites no matter the time of year! Hiking, bike riding, cross country skiing! The Nature center is worth checking out, there's also a story book trail behind the nature center! Pack a lunch and make a full day out of it! You won't want to leave!

This place is awesome. It has nice wide trails with some narrower hiking only winter trails. The waterfall was very cool as well as the story behind the former dam. I don't like the available PDF map with the trails but the gal in the office was very helpful.

If going to hike to the falls at this park it is steep but solid wide trail! With plenty of benches to stop and take breaks along the beautiful walk to see the falls. The look out is a serious amount of steps but very well maintained and again doable for most able to walk. Just t... If going to hike to the falls at this park it is steep but solid wide trail! Love this State Park. It's especially beautiful in the Spring, Summer & Fall. Multiple trails. If you want the shortest hike to the waterfall, Park in the upper Falls Lot. Multiple trails. If you want the shortest hike to the waterfall, Park in the upper Falls Lot. ( Go to the right after you drive past the park office window). Just an FYI, the path down is a very steep incline. ( Maybe under a mile round trip? ) Not too bad going down, but brutal on the way up. Especially is the path has snow / ice. There are 2 benches for resting / catching your breath along the way. You can park your car in the lot down by the beach for a less steep hike, but it is quite a bit longer of a hike to the falls. There are bathrooms in the park office during open hours. Otherwise the bathroom facilities are closed during late Fall / Winter. I think the vault/ pit toilets are still open?
