At about 2 mile mark it gets very over grown. There are definitely grizzly bears in area. Bear boxes for food are present. There is a fenced in tenting area. Long-drop (larger outhouses) was clean and they come weekly to clean it and refill supplies. No drinking or potable water at all. Fire pits in picnic area which is not by tents for obvious reasons but a short walk.

The trail starts at the sage but quickly enters a canyon where it goes through a forest with berry bushes. Climbing steeply to reach a ridge with excellent views into the valley and the mountains behind. The return via Bobcat canyon is just as exciting.
