We love this campground outside of Kirwin, Wyoming and Meeteetse, Wyoming. Of the two up near Kirwin, we like Brown Mountain the best. This campground is 3 miles beyond the Wood River campground and is about 25 miles from the town of Meeteetse, WY. The forest service could post a note on either Google or on somewhere on the main highway that suggests that the campground is closed. But they haven't. So we drove all the way there for nothing. The wood river campground is open but when I drove by, all sites were occupied by humongous RVs. How about reserving at least half the sites for tent people? Very disappointed.
