We stayed here on our drive east in Oct and we were the only one here in the entire campground. As it was after the season, we didn’t even have to pay per the sign. Each site has a curved pergola over a picnic table and some has a bbq grill. Our dog had a great time chasing chipmunks and rabbits. As the night fell, we were welcome by the Hunter moon and even caught a glimpse of the comet. Grounds... This is a nice campground. There are no hookups or water connections but water is available in many sites around the campground. The spigots aren't threaded so bring a rubber adaptor (water bandit) to hook up to a hose. There is a dump site available near the entrance and a dumpster at the boat ramp. There are several flush toilet restrooms when it is not freezing and vault toilets for the winter.... This is a nice campground. There is access to the reservoir for boat although the water is low and you have to go a ways to launch. Although there are no official hikes there is good walking around the campground and lots of waterfront to check out. Lots of birds and far enough from the road to be quiet. As usual in WY, it's windy. But that's normal for WY. In general it is in need of a bit of upkeep, but overall it is a really nice campground. $7/night or half price with a senior national parks pass. Well worth it!

For me, Fontenelle Creek Campground was perfect. There were only 2 other campers when I arrived and so far only one more joined us. There's flush toilets, water, picnic tables, fire rings, dump station...$7.00/night ($3.50 for seniors with America the Beautiful card). Huge reservoir filled with geese, birds & chipmunks everywhere and hardly anyone around!!! lots of space to walk my dog. I can drin... For me, Fontenelle Creek Campground was perfect. To be fair, it is in a bit of disrepair and there's no camp host...more like boondocking with benefits. Works for me!

It's October. We thought we'd camp there but the bugs were the worst we've ever seen. So we left. But the view was spectacular hence to 4 stars. There was absolutely no one there, probably because the flying bugs.

Very open scenery by the lake. BLM sites with a picnic table and roof cover over it. It’s $7 a night a think. Me and my friends cowboy camped here for a night during December, about 4°F with snow on the ground. There is also a boat ramp right next to the campground and you can ice fish on the lake.
