The photos on Recreation.gov don't do this campground justice. It's beautiful. The only thing to be mindful of, it doesn't have water on site. I was here early August. It's about 4 miles from Sugarloaf and Medicine Bow Peak trails, and countless others.

Wonderful first-come, first-served camp sites in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. We were blessed with MANY sightings during our brief stay. ALL campgrounds in the area fill quickly and nearly all have no cell service. If you don't have a rewervation/ are meeting others, pre-arrange an alternate time and place to meet or connect at the camp entrance sign. There are some dispersed forest service camping opportunities nearby - it is a good idea to have a back up plan! Several campers had dogs with them.

Best of the three high elevation campgrounds! Sugar Loaf and Brooklyn Lake are picturesque, but, you’re shoulder to shoulder with neighbors. No so at Nash Fork! Frankly, one of the nicest renovated with great tent pads and plenty of room between campsites comparatively! After striking out from two other full campgrounds I settled on this one. Entire lot is first come first serve only and there were a handful of sites available. $10 a day to rent a site. Like others said you will get some highway noise but the Campground itself is dispersed and you are not on top of each other.
