Have been here twice almost three decades apart, it is magical. Plus you can see the falls on Google Maps overhead, so you can always check in on it. Last time there in 2018, had the good fortune to get engaged to an amazing woman and a Dept Interior employee on her first backpacking trip. Neither of us will ever forget that for obvious reasons. Last time there in 2018, had the good fortune to get engaged to an amazing woman and a Dept Interior employee on her first backpacking trip. Neither of us will ever forget that for obvious reasons. First people we saw the next day were two rangers in the A frame near the site, so for roughly 24 hours those two Rangers were the only people who knew. Also, don't miss out on the thermal fed swimming hole near the final split to the falls, great place to wash off after a long day hiking.

A long and hard hike that resulted in one of the most satisfying water fall experiences of my life. The falls positively pound down the side of the mountain. Make sure NOT to go under the main flow on the right, but even standing 10-15 feet in front of it was one of the coldest and most exhilarating experiences of my life. It's a torrent of water that makes navigation across difficult but fun. Als... A long and hard hike that resulted in one of the most satisfying water fall experiences of my life.
