The national forest setting means you're surrounded by expansive views of mountain ranges, pristine valleys, and wildlife habitat. The Laramie region itself has a rich history connected to the Old West and serves as a gateway to numerous outdoor recreation areas. The nearby city of Laramie offers essential services, shopping, dining, and cultural attractions when you need a break from camping. The University of Wyoming is located here, adding cultural vitality to the area with museums and events throughout the year.

Office hours are impossible to pin down. I realize they’re short handed but good grief. Planned to spend a few months here. Things changed suddenly and I notified staff at office that I’d be leaving earlier than expected. Had paid $150 deposit to cover any outstanding expenses upon departure. Checked out four days ahead of the next rent due date. Was told that I would receive a refund of $109 that would be credited back to my account. It’s been 45 days since I left and spoke to corporate several times. Was told the Laramie office would call and explain why I had not received refund. That has never happened. I’ve left multiple voice mails at laramie front desk phone and not one call back. I have given up on getting my money back. Don’t expect great customer service and you’ll be fine. Not a bad place to spend a night or two but as said in other reviews the rules are not enforced and there are many times when the parking of multiple vehicles makes it nearly impossible to get down a row. Update: was told to email corporate regional office. Been 60 days since I left. Still no reply. Nothing. I suppose 100$ isn’t much to some people but it’s my money and they refuse to even acknowledge me or give an explanation. Watch your back with these people.

While there aren’t any trees or anything for shade, hook ups always work and at easy to access - WiFi not always working and/or speedy. The office closes promptly at the minute they say and no one is available otherwise. This year they charged me a fee for processing my reservation - always a new charge on top of the main fees. Even if they is no one in the spot you reserved, they won’t let you pull into your spot until the 2:00 check in time. It’s a bummer that the campground can’t just be run locally by people who are vested in the community vs a large corporation.

I registered online and assumed I would get a usable site. I want to note that we were going on a month long trip in our RV for the month of September so I made numerous online reservations and had great sites throughout our trip. The site we were given here was awful. It was NOT long enough for our truck and RV to fit in though I provided the size when I made the reservation. Their solution was to park our truck in the road along the front of our RV.. we have a dually and the road was very narrow so someone likely would have taken a fender off. The back of our RV would also have hung out into the road behind the site that is the main entrance. It was also really narrow for our slide outs. The site simply wouldn’t work. They told us we could try the fairgrounds but there was a football game for the college in town as well as a junior rodeo so it was probably booked too. We went ahead and checked in and then went to check the fairgrounds. The fairgrounds was booked but they said we could boondock in their parking lot if we wanted and we could use their water. We decided to do that. When I went back to Laramie RV park to ask for a refund , I was told that they couldn’t give me a refund because I had already checked in… however, online the refund policy was 10% of the deposit kept, I had not made a deposit so I assumed there would just be a small amount kept. They kept the entire fee of almost $220.00. This is horrible business practice and theft in my book. Only their “deluxe sites” are big enough for a large RV but their online tool does not provide that information.

Wifi is avaiable, and there are a playground and a dog park. The sites, even the deluxe ones are not well leveled. We had issues with a very low water pressure. It's very close the highway 80. We appreciated the laundry facility (coins) on the premises, as well as being able to receive mail and packages. You'd need the office if you don't have sufficient coins for laundry, however, the office hours (late September) were quite limited.
