Ten Sleep is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.

I stayed here for two nights this week, primarily visiting the area because of its dark skies. The area did not disappoint on that measure - the Big Horns are not the darkest region in the US (or even in Wyoming) but they're DARK and satisfyingly remote. The campsite at Lake View was wonderful and the host couldn't have been nicer. Kudos to the National Forest Service for excellent places to camp... Photo is from the boat launch on the north shore of Meadowlark Lake. 20 second exposure.

The lake is really beautiful and we saw moose right next to our campground by the lake - a female with her young. The camp host at the time was great and the toilet blocks were clean and easily accessible.

This is one of the best run parks we have ever stayed in. I have never seen cleaner pit toilets. The roads, sites and tables all looked like they were just finished. The camp host Eugene was professional, friendly, informative, and made us feel like the place was very safe. We will definatly be reserving here next year.

Amazing campsite! The views are breathtaking and never get old. Also the latrine was one of the cleanest I've ever seen. It did rain a lot but fires in the pit were allowed which is great.
